Second-hand uniform

We always appreciate the generosity of our community in donating second-hand school uniform to us. These donations not only support many of our families but also promote sustainability within our school community.

From time to time, we hold second-hand uniform sales, offering an affordable option for families to purchase uniforms while giving pre-loved items a new lease of life.

If you have any used uniform to donate or would like to learn more about our upcoming sales, please contact the school office.

HIVE Portsmouth logo

HIVE Portsmouth’s Uniform Share Store helps families across the city by getting children and young people kitted out in their school uniform. Constantly having to buy new uniform including school shoes, PE kit, items with logos and other essentials means that costs can soon mount up. This can add to the financial pressure on parents, especially in these challenging times.

Their Uniform Share Store can help. It boasts hundreds of good quality uniform items, both second-hand and new. They have all been sorted and stored, ready to be worn. Not only does the scheme save families money, it’s also great for the environment – particularly given the rate at which children grow!

Simply email uniform@hiveportsmouth.org.uk or fill in the form on their website and their team will put together your order and arrange a convenient day and time for collection from Central Library, Guildhall Square.

They are always very grateful for donations of good quality pre-loved school uniform. Items can be dropped off at any Portsmouth library during opening hours. Simply pop the clothes in a bag marked 'for HIVE Portsmouth' and your items will make their way to us.

Why do we have a uniform?

We believe that having a school uniform can play a key role in:

  • Promoting the ethos of a school
  • Providing a sense of belonging and identity
  • Setting an appropriate tone for education

Our uniform also promotes our identity as a part of King's Group Academies.

It is incredibly important to us for the uniform to act as a social leveller, which is why we are asking for no branding/logos (e.g. Nike, Adidas etc) on items of clothing worn into school. These items should be reserved for wearing outside the school.

As you can imagine, for a school of our size, labelling of all clothing is vital.
